New FF Creation: FF Ultimate

The party splits up, and now a mini-game begins. You have to make it to the Inn that Dart informed them of, but dodging guards constantly. This is done first-person like, so it's not easy. You must do it with all four characters. When that it done, you all meet in the upper room of the inn.

Lander: Okay, so what the hell is going on?

Alstin: Yes. Dart, what exactly is?

Dart: Perhaps...I should start from the beginning, and do an incredibly long explanation.

Dart: A long time ago, I studied under the magician Simien. He granted me a crystal. With it, along with its mate, we could together conquer the world. He expected me to be something I'm not. I never wished to rule the world. I refused, and fled for my life, taking the crystal with me. Simien burned my village and all who were in it. I was left with nothing. However, I learned many things while I studied with him. But most importantly, I learned of the prophecy.

Lander: The prophecy?

Dart: I believe you already know it.
Two of a kind make all of the difference
Two men, two jewels, and one of pure heart,
Together they shalt change the world's fate,
When all that is good begins to abate.

Alstin: Yes. The sorcerer...he told me that.

Dart: You...you studied under Simien also?

Alstin: Yes...I did.

Dart: I will allow you to explain later. However, I must continue my story. Anyway, this prophecy has been known by only the most wise for many years. No one knows what it means, or when will it occur. However, Simien convinced me that the jewel he granted me could allow us to rule the world. Because I possessed a jewel, I was granted my transformation into the Red Beast.

Alstin: Wait...I have possessed a jewel, yet I do not have such power.

Dart: It also requires much training, both mentally and physically. However, there is more.

These two gems...bringing them together unlocks a mystical power. This is the power of the Yajuu (one Japenese pronounciation of 'monster'). These creatures...they possess incredible power. However, only a select few can control their power. Simien wished to use them to dominate the earth. However, their power could supply us with a chance to figure out what it going on here.

Lander: Wow...that's a lot of information.

Dart: Correct. *pulls out crystal* Shall we continue?

Alstin: Yes. We must. We must find out what these...Yajuu are all about.

[Herbz7]

They decide to try and sneek into Simiens chamber in the dead of night, then have Alstin tell his story. They stay very much undercover, still being looked for by the kings guards.

While walking Dart thinks... Why is it me and Alstin have the crystals? Do we give them to Lander? Do I tell him the world is in his hands? No...I will keep mine til further ado, I do not trust this boy yet, he has not proved to me how great a warrior he is. And why are the Kings guards after the dragoons? Maybe... no way

Dart: I have come to believe Simien is controlling Brazen!
All : What?
Dart: Think about it. Brazen was loyal to his father, and was also training to be a dragoon, but why would he be after them now his father is dead? Simien knows a power Lander produced made his ghost army flee. He knows Lander is part of the Dragoons and is the only one who can defeat Simien.
Lander: I have no idea though of how that purple mist came to be.
Dart: True... maybe we can find something out in Simiens lair, there must of been something that unlocked your power.
Alstin: And what of mine, and the transformation?
Dart: I'm sorry, you may never reach the age to have studied and trained to have such power.
Alstin: But you, I look as old as nealry you, yet you have this power.
Dart: Another story I wish not to tell. When we get to Simiens lab I shall, after yours.
Lander: umm... wheres Alita?

[Dragonflame]

They look around, and discover that Alita is nowhere to be seen.

Alstin: She was here just a minute ago, wasn't she?

Dart: Yeah, I thought so. She did come back to the inn with us, right?

Lander: Yeah, she was with us 'til just a minute ago...

Suddenly, Lander sinks to his knees. Alstin and Dart look at him in surprise, then Lander somehow melts into the floor and vanishes.

Alstin: What the...

Alstin cuts off, as he falls to the ground too. Dart suddenly runs out of the room as Alstin finishes disappearing.

Lander and Alstin find themselves in a dark, dirty prison cell. Both are surprised to see that Alita is there too. Then a voice comes from somewhere in the hallway outside the cell.

Mysterious Voice: Did you really think you could escape me so easily? I am the most powerful sorceror in the world-catching you was pathetically easy. Alstin, I'm ashamed of you. After all the time I spent teaching you, you still don't even know how to recognize or fight a simple Calling Spell.

Alstin: Simien?

Simien: Yes, it is I. I've been waiting for you to come here. It's sad how easy it is to predict what people will do.

Lander: But I saw you dead.

Simien: Oh yes, you're that one dragoon that survived my massacre. Yes, I do think I did a good job of faking my death. It was funny to watch you as you explored that town. And you played your part perfectly. I believe that crystal you found by my "corpse" should be just about finished now. Soon all your power will be stripped away, and I will be able to add it to my own. And you will be able to join my army of the undead. I believe you may recognize a couple of them from a battle you fought in rather recently.

Lander: What?

Simien: Yes, that's what those crystals do, you see. They strip away a person's life force. Then when the victim's life force is completely removed, I get to take it for myself. Nice, isn't it. That's how I grew so powerful in the first place. And you will be an extra special prize. Remember that being that rescued you in the battle against my undead? That is called a Wystan. They are a race of incredibly powerful magical beings that sometimes choose to share their power with certain special humans. You were lucky enough to be chosen. And now, when that crystal is stealing your life force, it's also taking the life force of that Wystan. That power will make me greater than ever.

Alstin: What about my crystal? Is it doing the same thing to me?

Simien: Oh, no. That crystal is one of a much more powerful set of crystals that has the ability, among other things, to take the life force from the entire world.

[therealquigmaster]

*While looking around for some way out Lander sees a window, high above with the sun pouring though. The weird thing is there is the shape of a human like creature with wings and.... a shotgun???*
Lander: *whispers* Alstin look up there. Do you know what that is?
Alstin: I have no idea!!
Monster(While gently floating down.): I'll be taking those crystals.
Simien: BLAST!! You again.
Monster(Facing shotgun at Simien): You thought I was that easy to get rid off. HA. (Fires the gun.)
*Simien ducks, rolls and runs.*
Monster(after untying Lander & Alstin): Lets hurry grab the crystals and lets get outta here.
Alstin: Who are you?
Monster: Jack Valentine.(As he turns into a normal person.)
Lander: OK. Again who are you?
Jack: I'm a bounty hunter who is after these crystals, among other things.
Lander: And your a monster.
Jack: No, I am the son of a gentic(sp?) experiment. You may not of noticed but a minute ago I had wings fangs and claws, but not anymore. Anyway lets get the hell outta here. My ships at the docks. We have to find 7 other crystals and take them to the center of the world.
Alstin: That sounds so cheesy. And how comes theres a window underground? And why have I played a game thats remarkerby like this?
Jack: Oh yeah, I bet in your game there wasn't a giant meteor coming to destroy the world. And that giant creatures called weapons are flying around. Yeah right. Lets go.

Dragonflame, I'm not sure if I conveyed my point in my post, but the Yajuu are the Summons/GFs/Espers/Eidolons/Aeons/blahblahblah. Not that big of a deal, but I like my name better. So bleh. Change that to "The being that saved you is a Yajuu." That being just happens to be Jinn, the wind monster. Too tired to post. And I've got a lot of notecards to do for English class.

[Dragonflame]

Okay, whatever. I forgot there was already a name for the summons/gfs/eidolons/espers/etc.

They all bust out through the door and run through the castle. Jack runs with amazing speed ahead of the group, and only dart can keep up. They fight small random encounters until they get to the entrance where they stop to see Simien standing in front of the door.

Simien: You shall not leave.
Jack: Last time you got lucky, there will not be a second time.
Simien: Don't flatter yourself, just die.

At that Simien throws a fire ball at the party and Jack easily knocks it away. Angered Simien then waves his arms in an unagreeable way and raises them into the air to pull out black ghosts out of the the ground. The party gets ready to defend themselves.

There were only three of them, but still the fight was ridiculous. None of the weapons the party possessed could harm their etherealness.

Lander: Curses! I can't seem to touch these things!

Alstin (chanting): Stand back. everyone!

A shock of ice entrapped one of the ghosts and crashed, casuing the ghost to whine and disappear. Alstin began to laugh at the weakness of the monsters.

Alstin (still fighting): Ha! Is that all you can muster Simien?! *lets go a fireball and destroys another ghost*

Simien: Alstin, I could kill you with one word if I want to.

Alstin (destroying one more ghost): Then why don't you do it?!

Simien: No, I need you to take care of Lander. Time is of the essence and the world is crippling.

Alstin: Because of you!

Simien (laughing): Ignorance has always been your specialty, Alstin. It's very simple actually. A prophecy made centuries ago predicted the fall of good at this age, but no, not by my hands. By something, or someone, else.

Alstin: Who? How?

Simien: I do not know, but whatever it is, it will destroy the world of its good. Basically, I'm trying to stop it. Do you understand?

Alstin: No.

Simien (sighing): You have two options. To let me have the world, or to let the prophecy take place. You see, only I, the most powerful sorcerer of the realms, stand a chance against such power.

Alstin: How do I know that you are not lying?

Simien: You know I'm not.

Alstin hesitated. Simien is not a guy to joke around with such matters, and besides, he rarely lies. Anyway, Alstin still know that what he said is true through research back when he was Simien's apprentice.

Alstin: What do you want?

Simien: I got a series of task to...guide you.

Lander: Wait. How do we know that we can trust you?

Simien: How do I know if I could trust *YOU*?

Lander opened his mouth, but no words came out. Alstin gave a look of 'silence' and asked Simien for the tasks at hand...

Xardus appears on the scene and watches the fight. He sits down and watches some more. he finds nothing unusual with the scene and closes his eyes...he puts his scythe over his back and waits for something unique to happen.

*an hour later*...

Xardus is still sitting there. Lander, Alstin, and Simien look at him, and continue fighting.

A wind starts to blow, causing Xardus's hair to blow like a tuff in a daisy field.

He still sits there.
