Legend of Legaia, PS game, sorta works on PS2

i was playing legend of legaia again and i got to the part of Sol.

i went to the basement and i started to fight Gaza and the game freezes. i thought, ok, maybe it just stuck this one time, but every time it sticks in that same spot.

now, i am playing it on a PS2, it is a PS game. A couple time in the game the voices aren't synced with the people, but i know this isn't the game cuz when i played it back on my PS, it worked fine. Has anyone else had a similar problem with PS games not working on PS2?

yup, metal gear solid. It frezes after the credits so you cant get the hidden stuff and the special missions add on cd just refuses to work.

I never tried Legaia on the PS2. Perhaps I'll start a new game and see if it freezes up at that point.

I have no experiences with any of my PSX games freezing up on the PS2 (besides glitchy as hell Star Ocean)
