It's the dude who randomly appears in the airway station at the Gold Saucer, he sells GP to you.
Lost in the mountains
Alone with a 'kweh'
If you ask enough times
You'll get the key

There are two possibilities:
The Chocobo Sage
or
the dude that gives you the mythril that lets you get Great Gospel. Both are lost in the mountains, and involve chocobos. But chances are it's the Chocobo Sage.
King Bahamut, you're right, it was the Chocobo Sage, since he eventually give you the key to breeding a Gold Chocobo. Riddle away, as the saying goes.

Caught like rats,
by the urban cronies,
There's a reason it's superstitiously evil.
Where does this occur? This is a little ambiguous, and doesn't flow, but oh well. Think hard enough, and if you know the game specifically enough, you should get it.

Is this when Elena and Yuffie get caught by Don Corneo and are held within the eyes of the big statue in Wutai (Da-Hui? No, that's the Offspring...erm, i forgot the name)
No...good guess though. Earlier in the game.
Is it when Cloud, Tifa and Aeris are dropped into the sewer by the Don and fight Apps?
No. Now you're too early. Like I said, this is ambiguous, but I am looking for a certain moment.
Has it got anything to do with Don Corneo? Because that's all I can think of when you say 'rats' and 'urban' cronies'.
No. Nothing to do with the Don. Directly.
When everyone is at the Gold Saucer, and they get thrown into the Desert Prison and are trapped in all directions by quicksand?

You, ma'am, are on the right track. Like I said, the clue could mean any number of places, but I'm searching for a specific place and time. Read the last line of the clue carefully. What fits with that?
