Ok, ok. Juding by Barret's reaction, he killed Cloud. Yuffie stole Cloud's materia, and Barret got all PMSy, as he usually does, but Yuffie got away. Vinny and/or Cid used the radio to contact Nanaki at Cosmo Canyon, after Barret told them that Yuffie ran off with Cloud's materia. Red, on his way back, finds Yuffie, and kills her by pushing her off a cliff. He used Bugenhangen as a distraction (:grr. I say Barret killed Cloud. Red was possibly in on it. Ok, that was random.
