knew the riddle was alittle lacking in details.alright,let me put up a better one with the same answer.

We are following the footprints in the snow
For over the mountin we are trying to go
So many paths and so many colors
But each leads to the same fate
Flying above the trees, only to land where we shall freez and wait.

Is it the snowboarding minigame? The colours you mention could be the balloons, and the many paths you can take all lead to somewhere in the Great Glacier, which is covered in snow, hence the freezing reference.
