Contain by giving mimet greens (I think) to the chocobo and scratching it somewhere... maybe it was under the ears, anyway. I'll give away the question.

It is the "contain" materia
and you need to feed the chocobo a mimmet green (though mine messed up and said talhella or soemthing like that) and choose to tickle it behind the ears.

Paxinia announced this to her people, hoping to rally them to battle. She recieved yawns, shrugs, and "So what else is new?" in return.
Something else was needed to stir kender blood. Paxinia thought the matter over, and started a rumor that the dark knights were planning to loot Kendermore, to steal all of the kender's most prized possessions.
That did the trick.
