The best remixes of the Brinstar theme are in Metroid Prime and Zero Mission.

I don't like Metroid Metal too much. Their style just clashes too much with the style of the original Metroid music.

I thought Prime's rendition was too mellow. However, in terms of keeping to the original, I think the N64's Super Smash Brother's Metroid/Brinstar theme was great. It was ruined however, when they made Smash Bro's Melee, and turned it into some sort of Surf-rock theme.

I thought Kraids metal version was awesome on that site. the rest are pretty cool. My dad even liked the Kraid one because "it sounds like progressive rock."

Metroid music is ace, and the OC remix stuff is all... techno-y. Nothing wrong with that, but variety is good. Good thing I have that symphonic Super Metroid music-thingy.

Yup Super Metroid and Prime had some great music. The music for Phendrena Drifts is my favorite. Matched the place.

On topic, the metal remixes are ok, but I'd rather liston to the original music by playing it on my GameCube.
