I have just beat the Dark Yo-Jimbo 2 day and i was wondering how much more powerfull penance is than dark Yo? how long did it take u to beat penny after u beat the dark aeons? oh and what happens when u beat him! does he just stay there,does the game just reset? any help on this matter will be apprecieated

You will need stats at the max of 255, with Luck of at least 120. HP should be at least 40,000. Take out the arms first to prevent him from doing Judgement Day, then focus on the main body. Use Attack Reels, Blitz Ace, and Trio of 9,999 to improve your chances. If you have time use Healing Water to restore all your HP. Make good use of Quick Hits and Twin/Three Stars to help preserve your MP levels.

I havn't beaten Penance, but I've been informed that after beating him he disappears and the game continues as normal, but don't take that information to be certain.

Or Grand Summon Yojimbo and throw a few hundred thousand Gil at him. Zanmato=dead Penance.

It's hard to defeat him but I do It, I have a team with all chars are 255 at strengh, magic, speed... but only 150 at luck, and 70000 HP, 999MP
to beat him, you must have :
ribbon, auto-haste
I'm playing french version so many words will be differents.
MP1 isn't useful, because the attack of the second form will reduce you MP at 0
You must have Rikku in your team
first, use the item which double your HP and an other which reduce MP cost at 0 (in french "breuvage vital" and "tristella")

kill his arms at first with fast attacks (in french "attaque éclair"), it is not a problem because you don't use MP

always hit arms and if there not arms, hit the boss(named "der richter" in french version").

When yours HP are low, rikku use her overdrive with 2 potions and all your HP will be restored

When the second form attack you, you must use "dissipation"(sorry, I don't know what is it in english)

The battle is very long, 1h30 for me, but it is not very hard when you are prepared
