My dad's in the hospital. D:
But it's nothing terribly bad to be too worried about, but I am starting to get concerned. =/ He has been coughing and hacking lately for the past few weeks, but I wasn't aware that it'll be this bad where it had to be treated. I hope that he'll be ok. =/

Both of my gramma's were hospitalized for similar things, and they pulled through just fine. It may just be COPD (and no, I dont know what it stands for, it's a breathing deal though). I'm sure your dad will be just fine. I'll be praying for him, and for your family.
The coughing and hacking thing could be indicative of lung problems. Is your dad a smoker? It may be something that isnt much to worry about, hospitals just like to make a fuss.
Hopefully all goes well for him.
No, my dad stopped smoking about ten years ago, so I doubt it's that.

My mother recently spent an evening in hospital after lightly tearing a disc in her lower back.
Both of my parents work in a hospital, but I still feel uncomfortable there. Probably because I hated it so much when I had to go there as a two-year old with a broken arm after some exploratory climbing misadventures.
I'm hacking and coughing and wheezing.
