Tomato Sauce vs. Tomato Ketchup
I need someone to give me a more detailed explanation of the differences between these two, because I only just found out that apparently they are indeed different. Although I think I've picked up on the differences, it's still pretty vague. The only real difference I've come up with so far is that tomato sauce is thicker. While that does make it easy to tell them apart, I still don't really get what the differences are. D=

Um. Since I don't really know what ketchup is. I can't say much on this topic.

Ketchup is used for potatoes a lot. I attached a very close-up picture of ketchup for you, Al Bhed³. =D
I guess the difference is the consistency and I think tomato sauce has less sugar, because it's kinda tangy.

I think tomato sauce is more thick, and it has actual pieces of tomato in it. Can't think of anything more, but I think tomato sauce is much better.

Tomatoes (Well at least that checks out)
Spirit vinegar (What th-)
Glucose-fructose syrup (no suprise there)
Sugar (Im pretty sure that glucose and fructose are sugars as well)
salt (meh)
spice and herb extracts (huh?)

garlic powder (fuh?)
I dont know for sure but I think tomato sauce is alot simpler.

Sauce = ketchup, as far as I can tell.
I thought paste and souce are same thing.
Ketchup is just ketchup, and there's only that...other tomato thing! >:O

Well, we call it <i>sose</i>, as in <i>tomaattisosetta</i>. >:O <i>Ketsuppi</i> is the thing that comes from plastic bottles, <i>sose</i> comes from tincans or glass jars.
