My dad's side of the family tend to randomly mix english and bengali together in the same sentence, or othertimes it'll be one person speaking in one language, the other in the other yet both understand each other fine I don't really think it's a problem, some things are easier to express in one language concisely than in the other, and it's fine if both sides know both languages
