I'm just glad it wasn't a Game Gear, I always like them better because of the backlit screen that Nintendo put on their handheld eventually. And the TV adapter <3
On topic though, that's just stupid. If it was an old Gameboy then the chunky thing would have caused enough damage just throwing it at someone.
