The game starts and everything but i cannot use any buttons and all it shows is the beginning movie of the game and starts back over, can someone help me please? Thank you.

Try pressing whatever you assigned to the Start button in the controller config/setup - it loops if you don't press anything
I pressed every button on the keyboard and worked fine on final fantasy 4. Ill try downloading another copy. Could you tell me how to set my control settings also?
Input > Joypad Configuration
Only the keys you set there (plus any special keys specific to the emulator like what/how to render) will actually do anything, so randomly bashing the keyboard isn't the most intelligent way of going about this
