Close your MSN messenger or leave Outlook turned off.
If you have MSN Messengerto log on each time you boot up the computer... You may need to uncheck the alerts in Options>Preferences.
Apparently, I have been declared banished.
In TweakUI for WinXP, you can change how it does that under Logon > Unread Mail
Don't use the welcome login.
