My brother use to collect anime, but I don't have any.
Personally, they just seem nothing more than violent cartoons, plus I never really cared for anime and never saw what the hype was about anyways. If there was anime I liked, it was Samurai Yuroiden Troopers...that's it though.

I got Street Fighter Alpha a little while ago. Oh yeah, it freaking rules so much. It shows much about the SF storyline that I never knew like the following
(SPOILER)Ryu actually had a little brother named Shun who kept trying to follow in his brothers training. Ryu's family gave him (Ryu that is) to a shotokhan master named Gouken in Japan who is one of the remaining shotokhan masters left. Shotokhan was origionally a style ment for killing and if properly trained you would be consumed by an evil energy called "Dark Hadou" causing extreme madness. Goutetsu, Gouken's counterpart trained another pupil only known as Akuma, when Akuma mastered the style he grew stronger from the dark Hadou's power and killed Goutetsu and Gouken. Of course now that Shun is taking training that Ryu took he's somewhat consumed by the Dark Hadou just like his brother, and Ryu ends up fighting Shun whilst incased in an android created by Dr. Saddler (a Shadoloo scientist under Bison) that got stronger and fed off of Shun's Dark Hadou energy. Of course Ryu ends up using his stronger Dark Hadou energy to his advantage and kill's the android to save the life of his friends Ken and Chun-Li but this causes Shun's death. Next thing on Ryu's agenda, find Akuma and defeat him
