I guess you can have Beatrix in your team by using GameShark?
Play the Chocobo Hot and Cold game to get Dead Peppers. If you've been playing it and not getting any you probably need to progress further in the game first.

Ask the moogle in the Chocobo Forest how to play Chocobo Hot and Cold. It's fun and the music for it rocks!
