Mik, Mik, Mik. I come into here after seeing that you posted expecting to see what programs you use, but all I see is you talking to Hsu. That's what our PM system is for, you know. I'm sure that Hsu would really appreciate getting a PM from you. Now post what programs you use please. Thank you.

Internet Browsing: Firefox or Avant (if I run in to compatibility issues I'll use Avant, because it's basically IE with tabbing and a built in pop-up stopper)

    Word processing: MS Word

    Text editing: MS Word

    Audio Playing: Winamp 3.0

    Burning: Roxio/Nero

    Video playing: Realone Player

Instant Messaging: Trillian (the old free one)

Filesharing: oDC or Winmx, whatever is compatible with my proxy

    Image creating/editing: Adobe Photoshop 4.0

FTP: MS-DOS (Hey, it works faster than explorer and Bullet Proof)

    Virus Scanning: AVG

    Spyware detection: Adaware

Software Firewall: I'm behind a Proxy, and the server hosting the Proxy is very secure.

    File Archiving: WinRAR/Winzip/Stuffit Standard.

Text editing, basically for coding with web languages and whatnot.
Ripping/encoding: Taking music from your CDs and putting it on your PC, changing types/compression of music files, etc...
File Archiving: Ever used a Zip file? Those are archives. They compress the size of the files and make them better for transfering. Most downloads on the internet come in .zip format, but many also come in .rar, so having WinRAR instead of just WinZip is good because it can handle .rar and .zip types.

    I didn't know 56k's even existed anymore.

And oh yeah, I use IE6. No reason to complain about that browser.*_*
