Yahoo! vs. Google

I use Yahoo out of habit, but I guess whenever I type keywords into the address bar of Firefox it does a Google search, so I use them both just as much. As long as I find what I'm looking for I don't care too much how I get there.

I guess I'll take a look at Yahoo and see if it searches better than Google does I changed to Google originally because it tended to give more accurate/useful results quickly, an not because of the frilly stuff like image search etc.

Well, Google recently added like 1.3 billion more websites to it's search database to compete with Yahoo! and Microsoft. But Google is still king, but I still find myself using Yahoo, just because I'm use to it.

Google is best for searching. Yahoo is good for everything else.

I don't like google because they spell it wrong and I always type in www.googol.com and end up somewhere else. I always liked altavista, but it doesn't usually have as good search results. Yahoo is good for messenger and sports and games, but I don't use them to search.

Google is an internet search engine, sporting what may be the best searching algorithm yet. It doesn't bother with all the extra garbage most people don't need, and just cuts straight to the searching. *nod*

Yahoo is just fine for webhosting, e-mail, and usergroups, but that's about it. Sure, it has a lot of junk, but I'll never use it. I have no need for it. Y!Messenger? Pfft, I know more people on AIM, and use Trillian anyway. Y!Mail? I have POP3 through my webhost. Usergroups? Used 'em for a while, but they aren't worth it in the end. Y!Games? Flash games are much more fun. Shall I go on?
