-Trap Wall. (Take the Dark Crystal, and you gotta fight this one to keep it.)
-Ashura. (You gotta beat her if you want her help.)

Protections made of Mythril (or Silver in FF4US) give the wearer a bonus defense (half damage, I think) against a certain type of creature race. What race is this?

Many believed that silver has a hand in taking them down a peg or two. And mythril is just a mythical form of silver. (Final Fantasy games call it, "mythril silver.")

normally, that would be ok with me, but in FF4, "undead" and "x" are two distinctive races, albeit very similar... A Mythril weapon would not have extra power versus a skeleton for example, but would hit 4x against "x"... Of course, "x" is what I am asking for ^-^

There are only 7 creature types? Where do monsters like Bomb, Imp, Larva, DustMoth, Sahagin, etc. go?

I guess the answer must be spirit then.

aborjtm: There are 8 creature types (0 counts) as far as the game is concerned. They use these creature types when determining damage. For example, the Mythirl Hammer is effective against machines and spirit, causing 4x as much damage as it would have against another enemy. The Crystal Armor is effective against Undead, so Cecil receives half the damage against them.
