I've seen the future, brother. It is murder.
Awwwwwww, but Calbrenas so cool! I LOVE THE CALBRENA THEME! *starts dancing like a possessed doll*
Boy am I an unfunny ass.
I'm sorry for taking so long to post a new question... I hate the phone company.
Uh... Which items are equipped on Kain when he joins you for the last time?
I've seen the future, brother. It is murder.
He is equipped with the Gungnir spear, Genji helmet, Genji shield, Genji armour, and Genji gauntlet.
EDIT: Okay, I'm 99% sure I am correct so I'm going to go ahead and ask a question.
To steal from Takara's idea.....
Name every song that plays during a battle sequence, whether you can control the battle or not. AND.....for the battle's that do not have the generic regular battle them, boss battle theme, or dreadful fight theme, list who you are fighting.

Actually it's Gungnir Spear, Samurai Shield, Samurai Armor, Samurai Helmet and Samurai Gauntlets.
At least in the version of the game I'm used to play (FF2 US). Maybe these items had other names in different versions of the game.
And the answer to your question is:
Battle Theme
Boss Battle
Dreadful Fight
Final Battle
Ring Of Bomb (when you fight against Rydia in Mist)
Cry In Sorrow (when you fight against Egde's parents)
Melody Of Lute (when Edward fighs alone against a monster in Kaipo)
Golbez Clad In The Dark (when you fight against Golbez)
Dancing Calbrena (when you fight against Calbrena)
I've seen the future, brother. It is murder.
Yeah, I'm playing the Chronicles Version and like I said, I'm 99% certain he has all Genji equipment in that version. Can anyone confirm this?Originally Posted by Outsider
As for your answer, you are missing two songs from the list and your opponents for two of the songs are not quite complete (ie. The theme is heard in more than one battle).
Hmm... I remember that "Melody Of Lute" played in the battle against the Dark Elf... And I guess that "Dancing Calbrena" played in the battle against Balnab.
But that's the best I can do.
I've seen the future, brother. It is murder.
Yep, now there are just two more songs to add to the list.
I'll give you a couple hints....
1. One of the songs plays in a battle that is seemingly impossible to win, and even if you win....the story plays out as if you lost.
2. The other battle is a timed battle.
EDIT: I just realized there are actually another two songs that are played in the battle. My hint for that is, one is at the very begining of the game and one nearly at the end.
Good luck. Any guesses DPC, Takara, or Mullet Man?
the first one is when you fight kain. the second one odin?? the third one mist dragon?? and the 4th when golbez and FuSoYa fight zemus?Originally Posted by Storm

I have time to lose, so why not...
- Battle theme for all normal battles.
- Boss Battle Theme for most bosses.
- Dreadful Fight for the 2nd fight with Milon (right after you cross the bridge on Mount Ordeal, the 1st one uses the normal boss theme), Kainazzo in Baron, Valvalis in Zot, Rubicant in the tower of Bab-Il, against the 4 fiends in the Giant, and when Mopu-san (FuSoYa) and Golbez fight Zeromus and lose.
- Final Battle when Cecil and friends fight Zeromus (after Cecil uses the crystal on it).
- Ring of Bomb when you fight Rydia in Mist and I think it's also used when you fight the three Dark Imps (I guess that's the name of the monster) in the tower before Yang destroys the Super Cannon.
- Cry in Sorrow is used in the second half of the fight against Edge's parents when they recover consciousness, the first half is the normal boss music.
- Melody of Lute is not used when Edward fights alone in Kaipo. He plays it before the water hags appears, but I think the music for the battle is the boss battle, actually. However, Melody of Lute is used when you fight the Dark Elf the second time (when Edward saves your life), until the Dark Elf turns into a dragon.
- Golbez Clad in Dark is used when Tellah fights him in Zot, and when you fight him in the Dwarf Castle before Rydia arrives.
- Dancing Calbrena is used when you fight the dolls and when you fight Lugae and Balnab, before Balnab exploses and Lugae transforms.
- Sadness when you fight Kain in Fabul.
- I'm not sure if that's the real name of the track, it's called "Run" on my playlist... Anyway, Run is used in one battle in Fabul when Edward gets hit by an arrow/trips right before you enter the Crystal room. It is also used against Evil Wall and, I think, when you fight Plague.
- Cecil's Theme is used in the fights in the Intro when you fight Float Eyes and a Zu on the airship, but also when Cecil Battle his dark self on Mount Ordeal to become a paladin.
- The Final Fantasy Theme is used when Cecil and his friends are revived by those that were left on the Blue Planet during the fight against Zeromus, until you use the Crystal on it.
I think that's pretty much all of them. Right?
Oh, and guh... now that I think of it, I'm not certain if the fights with the Fiends before the Giant actually used the Dreadful Fight music or the Boss one... Oh well.

Good job, Takara!
Just for the record though, the Dreadful Fight music also plays for all the optional boss battles in the final dungeon and when you fight Golbez in the Dwarven Castle (after Rydia returns).
Also, normal battle music plays when you fight the three dark imps in the Tower of Babil, not the Ring of Bomb music.
Anyhow, your turn, Takara.
What are the two locations where you can find the monster called GlomWing (or Gloom Wing)?
I know one of the locations, which is outside the Sylph Cave. I have no clue where the other location is, so I'll just guess inside the Sylph Cave.
One's correct. If no one else finds the other location in the next two days, I'll give the answer.
EDIT:
As it's been 2 days already, here's the answer.
As Storm said, one of the correct locations is South of the Sylvan Cave. The other one is also in the Underworld; it is a tiny, 3 square-long strip of land on the western edge of the Underworld.
Since Storm got half the answer right, guess that's his turn.
