Default Imesh's downloading really jeffing fast

Im starting a download of a 211 meg file and I barely got 2 megs done and it says it'll be done in about 2 hours or so, is this really capable of happening or is Imesh messing up.

    It says 1:18:24. That's likely 1 day 18 hours 24 minutes.

Actually I downloaded stuff before and it's more like hour:minute:second It keeps jumping around from 1 hour to 5 hours to 3 hours to etc.

Because you're on dial-up, and you're unlikely to get a constant speed, it's gonna be fluctuating a lot so giving false readings in those kind of ETA things. I use 12 MB per hour as a rule of thumb for dial-up though, so you can do the maths yourself about how long it should take

    3 KB/s = 10MB/hour; just work with that ratio

Yeah, you also need to take into account your own dial-up connection speed, since a 1 or 2 k/s difference in estimating will make a huge difference at such low speeds I use 12 MB since that's what I noticed I'd actually get after measuring it a few times, and I used to connect at 44k normally - if you're connecting at lower speeds or getting lower throughput (or higher if that's the case), then obviously you'll have to adjust your figures.
