Default your bands, your town

im interested in hearing little known bands.

what are some of the local bands in your cities/countries that you consider great but will probably never get heard by the majority of the public in this crazy mainsteam world?

any genre is fine. k3

Division G6
Narcoleptic Youth
Swindle
Infected
The Skulls

Just a few. Some have made it big in the punk scene, but never in any mainstream way.

They're a great indy Celtic-Rock band from Toronto. Woo. But yeah, they're getting bigger every day! I think!

Flashlight Brown
The Getaway
Alexisonfire, to a lesser degree, because I think they're pretty mainstream by now.

Toronto has a lot of good indie bands, but I really can't think of many at the moment.

Montreal has Godspeed You! Black Emperor so they win.

Atlanta has Ludacris, Uncle Cracker, Outkast, and some other trout I'm sure. Elton John lives here.

I live in a town with a population on around 6000 people, so it's not like we have many bands. But we have this one good band called...Ugh... I can't remember the name. But it's great anyway

I know of a garage band who lives next door. They call themselve INPUT. There's also 30 Day Warranty

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

Flown.
Pretty songs, pretty name, pretty texts. Slightly gothic rock. They're probably broken up by now, though. =/

Nice thread, it reminded me that I'll have to download some of their songs. If I can find any.

Tantric.

Just the vocalist, though. The rest of the band is Days Of The New, sans the original vocalist, who quit the band. Soon after, they changed their name to Tantric.

My friend Mike and I are sorta in a band called "Nameless". I'm the drummer but I used to be the bass player.

My friend Marshall is the guitarist in a band called "Negitive Zero", best band name ever.

Blindspott, Augustino, Steriogram, Stellar*, Concord Dawn, Minuet, Rhombus, Scribe, Betchadupa, The Feelers, The Have.

I'm still bitter that Shihad had to change their name (to Pacifier) but Anthrax didn't.
