You don't get Ultima or Flare from a dress sphere, you get it from a garment grid that you aquire later in the game. And I don't think there's a Comet spell.

It's called Mediggo. It's aquired by going down to the Farplane Glen via all five different routes.
777 on Magic reels nets you an Ultima
and i think 3 Cherry icons gets you Flare
Tis really crap. u have to change dressphere like 4 times to activate the nodes and only then can u use ultima!
Its really pathetic...
If I know in advance that I am going to want to use an ability that requires several dressphere changes to activate, I found that something which helps to cut down the aggravation is to set the the animation for the spherechanges on "short". Otherwise it can be very time consuming to watch them all over and over :moggie:
or just use Lady Luck... Magic Reels and you can get both easily at no MP cost...
to be honest ultima and flare are useless in the grand scheme. by the time u get medigo there should be alot more useful abilitys at your beck and call.
