"General Chat" is a forum for people to be able to chat about things together. It is for discussion. Your threads were directed at one person it seems, they didn't ask for discussion, hence why they were closed. After all, what would other members have been able to post in them?

Basically if you want to chat to one person you can use PMs, if you want to discuss something and get other's views, that's what General Chat is for. Pointless posts just clutter it up, and ruin it for other members.
