I would love to be happy, but unfortunately I'm too busy being awesome and kicking your ass at everything
I havn't played all of them but Dude, what are you taking about?
Microsoft Windows-
One OS to rule them all, One OS to find them,
One OS to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In FF3j, all four characters start out in the "Onion Knight" class. There's also some very vague references to them in FFT and FFT-A. As well as Lulu's ultimate weapon.
ARGUMENT FROM GUITAR MASTERY
(1) Eric Clapton is God.
(2) Therefore, God exists.
There's also a sprite of an Onion Knight in an FFA loading screen, right?
Yeah, that too. Along with Squall.

I've always thought the one in FF3j was Onion Kid not Knight. Might be wrong though.
The Onion Knights are a legendary group of Knights who protected a King in the age of Kings

An Onion King?

Is the Japanese name for them tamanegi senshi? Senshi translates as "warrior" or anything else that sort of has the same meaning as "warrior", so "fighter" and "knight" can also kinda be used. Dangit, where's Kishi when we need him?
I'd gladly step in for 'Kishi, aside from the fact that I hardly know a word of Japanese, except maybe domo arrigato...
...Mr. Roboto...

Well using my handy dandy Japanese dictionary.
Onion- Tamanegi
Knight- Naito or Kishi (at least according to this site)
But I don't speak much Japanese besides very very very very simple things. But with my limited Japanese I think it wouyld be Tamanegi Naito or Tamanegi Kishi.
But I could be wrong.
This space intentionally left blank.
There were vague references to them in FFT and FFTA? Where? I'm a sucker for obscure references like this...
Well, in FFT-A, there's an item called the Onion Sword. I'm not too sure about FFT, so I could be wrong about that reference.

Ah. Well, I'm currently replaying FFT. So I guess that gives me something to look out for.
