please help me

I am a new gamer and am going back playing the oldies but goodies. I recently saw that this game has the best story of any rpg. I'll leave that up for debate, but I like it so far.

My problem is this. I am in the land of domes and whenever I enter a some of these domes (e.g. Tranns Dome, Arris Dome, etc.) I cannot see at all. There are just a lot of clouds and music. I found the guy selling things based on chance, but I cannot find the "enerton" that the walkthrough mentioned. I want to know are these clouds supposed to be there or are they just because I'm using an emulator? If they're supposed to be there and I'm just dumb, let me know how to find this enerton PLEASE!

get a newer version of the emulator. earlier versions don't get along well with transparency effects.

either that or get the PSX version in FF: Chronicles
