yeh they have the cheap ones u buy in sets that i believe are plastic or w.e .... and there are others that are silver 9-point-somin i saw on ebay. same wit the necklace etc.

Naming the animal shown on Squall's ring and necklace just gives the player a chance to have some personal input into Squall's character, kind of like you're shaping a part of his back-story. Since the player is controlling Squall and 'listening' to his thoughts, it's only fair that you get a bit of influence over things like the mythical beast whose image Squall has on his jewellry and weapon.

my girlfriend has the squall ring and rinoas ring set on a chain from ebay, and i got squalls necklace, they came to gether and squals is realy kool

It was hilarious when (SPOILER)Ulti summoned "Oh Sidney...". Hardly conjures the image of 'the most powerful GF'
