Liam Lynch rocks! I listened to "This is my united states of whatever" all the time last fall. Also, you should try and listen to "Happy Song" and "The Panda Song"... they're also by him.
This was actually a pretty popular song about a year ago. I liked it, gets old though.
I thought it was kinda lame (United States of Whatever). But, I really enjoyed one or two tracks off his album. Not because they were really good, or anything, but he imitated Pixies and Talking Heads... Pixies was... meh, but Talking Heads was weird and funny and semi-accurate. So it was just... kinda cool, generally. ;D
I play that song on Winamp non stop. It's just so cool, I even make up lyrics based on people I know like this.
So then Mike wonders out of his bedroom at 12 pm, an he's all like "Joel, why didn't you make coffee and..." and I'm like "Yeah WHATEVER."

Yar, me and my friends went through a YEAH WHATEVER phase last year. Its over.
But yeah, I remember watching the sock puppet show on MTV. Liam made that show. I have a couple episodes of it I think. They recently released a DVD of the show i think too.

A friend was obsessed with it for a while.
