The title of this thread is highly misleading. But yeah, cosmetic body alterations of any sort are nasty.

I am neutral on cosmetic surgury, as some people actually need it, where as others do it to look "better". If it is needed I'd say go for it.
but if a 103 yr old looked 24 and healthy, I'd take her on a date for sure (lol, wisdom and experience)

Surgery for people who need it is OK. The article says that most people who get this vocal cord surgery have "voice-robbing diseases or injuries", that's fine by me. Some old geezer who wants to sound like a 20-year-old though, that's nasty. There's such a thing as dignified old age. Old age isn't something to be ashamed of.
It's disturbing.
I don't know if I can agree entirely seeing as some people age prematurely and therefore to fit with their age group a face lift might be a good idea but if they start to go a bit like cher then I'd be freaked out

I'll say. Considering the link in your post refers to an article on vocal chords, Ed, I'd say that there's no chance of getting mixed up between a 24 year old and a 103 year old.
No matter how much cosmetic surgery you have, when you're over 60, people will know about it.
