what is monster skill???

By using Monster Skill on a friendly monster near you, the monster can use attacks it normally can't use. For example, normally a yellow chocobo can only use Choco Attack and Choco Cure, but if you use Monster Skill on it, it can also cast Choco Meteor.

I think it's also works by proximity. You have to have it equipped on a character and have the monster stand only a few squares away, and they wind up with an extra monster skill they'd otherwise lack.

The rarest monsters have some pretty cool extra skills. (like ulmageist, level blast, Mold ball, etc...). There is a complete list of extra monster skills on the FAQ page, or was it at gamefaqs.com, can't really recall. Check it out :moggie: :fd: :shoot:

Yep, some of the strongest skills in the game are used this way. Giga Flare is one of my favs.

Nope, Byblos didn't have any monster skills.

I believe thats cause Bylobs is a special character.
Monsters can breed, withthemselves aperently. Which I dont even wanna know about. But Bylobs is a special character, he will not breed. So, I think thats why he has no monster skill.
