    Default giant ad

What's with that huge giant green based ad telling me I've got a virus and to buy some new expensive software to fix it. I got it on this page and it covered up all over the link. I got it some other page too and it did it again. It's like, real big and large. Appeared just above the EyesonFF the first time but the second time it actually was plastered all over the page.
What is it, why is it here, how does it die.

I don't know, this place don't have ads anymore, Sean removed them all

Simple solution - stop using Internet Explorer If it does it with nice browsers like Mozilla or Firefox, reformat your PC since you're infected

I AM using mozilla. That's what it came up on, most unfortunately looks like I'll have to format. Which I can't do because I brought this computer with XP preinstalled and they didn't give me an installation CD plus I don't know how to format XP.

S&D or adaware got ****all either.

I'll just have to live with it, thx anyway guys

I guess there's also the possibility you unchecked the Block Unrequested Pop-ups in Mozilla's settings Still doesn't explain why you thought EoFF gave it, perhaps you were browsing multiple sites at once and they loaded in a different order then you thought.

I've found out what it is guys.
One time this porn site downloaded this crap automatically, it's a bloody search bar (much like the google one) but I can't get rid of it. That's what made the ad because it's obviously paid to do that.

Because I was using mozilla at the time, unfortunately that download affected it. Uninstalling and reinstalling mozilla should fix it but I'm too lazy right now.

Moral is not to trust free porn downloads.

Try to remove it via add/remove programs. Failing that check your whatever:\program files directory for "weird" programs and uninstall them there.
