    Default Just curious...

    http://www.talkingpresidents.com/pro...-coulter.shtml

Who is that wonderful woman? Is she very popular? I really don't know much about all those radio and TV people in USA, but she looks like quite a pearl.

"at the age of 14, you are either a liberal or a conservative, if you have an IQ above that of a toaster"

So is she promoting intellectual paralysis?

Anyway, just curious about this character. Wouldn't like to find her in a dark alley, specially not with that black leather dress that came up in the google image search.

She's semi-popular, but not really as much as other news figures.

Love the pro-republican tone of that article too. Really makes me want to go out, buy the doll, then buy another one, and get them married... but that's another debate for another time.

    Take care all.

Good. Keep it that way. She's a very nasty, very ignorant snot. She's said some things along the lines of "let's go into Afghanistan right now and turn all those idiots into Christians and let them live the right way" or some such nonsense. I saw the quote a couple years ago and I don't remember the exact wording, but it was very xenophobic and ignorant.

edit - Wow. I'm reviewing a lot of stuff about her and now I can clearly recall why she is such an arrogant little tart. Everything she uses to defend herself is just heavy-handed polarizing rhetoric (you liberals are inferior to all of us conservatives) while never actually making a serious point.

Here's some great quotes of hers:

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren't punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That's war. And this is war."

"When contemplating college liberals, you really regret once again that John Walker is not getting the death penalty. We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed, too. Otherwise, they will turn out to be outright traitors."

"Liberals become indignant when you question their patriotism, but simultaneously work overtime to give terrorists a cushion for the next attack and laugh at dumb Americans who love their country and hate the enemy."

You can see how she works. She can claim that liberals are helping terrorists. Of course there's not a scrap of real proof of a giant monolithic liberal movement to promote terrorism, but that won't stop her from writing entire books about it. I can just as easily say that the core conservative ideal is to hate puppy dogs and kill babies and hold just as much validity as Coulter - none.

Conservates have long been allowed to choose when and where a debate happens, and what the topics will be. Liberals for far too long have sat back and took it. Now, when they do begin to stand, they are suddenly traitors. Great logic, really.

So, really, what they are saying, is that John Kerry, Ralph Nadar, etc, etc, are as bad as Osama Bin Laden?

The very reason this country works is because we can express our own views and not be forced to follow a single line of thinking. If conservatives want to stamp out liberals, they'd be restricting debate and in turn probably destroying democracy more so than any liberal could or would.

    Take care all.

Default I saved my list of quotes I posted before the server move :)

"The portrayal of Senator Joe McCarthy as a wild-eyed demagogue destroying innocent lives is sheer liberal hobgoblinism. Liberals weren't cowering in fear during the McCarthy era. They were systematically undermining the nation's ability to defend itself while waging a bellicose campaign of lies to blacken McCarthy's name. Everything you think you know about McCarthy is a hegemonic lie. Liberals denounced McCarthy because they were afraid of getting caught, so they fought back like animals to hide their own collaboration with a regime as evil as the Nazis."

"Even if corners were cut, (Iran-Contra) was a brilliant scheme."

" COULTER: I take the biblical idea. God gave us the earth.

PETER FENN (Democratic strategist): Oh, OK.

COULTER: We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees.

FENN: This is a great idea.

COULTER: God says, "Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours."

FENN: Terrific. We're Americans, so we should consume as much of the earth's resources...

    COULTER: Yes! Yes.

FENN: ... as fast as we possibly can.

COULTER: As opposed to living like the Indians."

To a disabled Vietnam vet: "People like you caused us to lose that war."

"If you don't hate Clinton and the people who labored to keep him in office, you don't love your country."

"The thing I like about Bush is I think he hates liberals."

"The swing voters---I like to refer to them as the idiot voters because they don't have set philosophical principles. You're either a liberal or you're a conservative if you have an IQ above a toaster."

"Cheney is my ideal man. Because he's solid. He's funny. He's very handsome. He was a football player. People don't think about him as the glamour type because he's a serious person, he wears glasses, he's lost his hair. But he's a very handsome man. And you cannot imagine him losing his temper, which I find extremely sexy. Men who get upset and lose their tempers and claim to be sensitive males: talk about girly boys. No, there's a reason hurricanes are named after women and homosexual men, it's one of our little methods of social control. We're supposed to fly off the handle."

"My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building."

"A central component of liberal hate speech is to make paranoid accusations based on their own neurotic impulses, such as calling Republicans angry, hate-filled, and mean."

"While having dinner recently with John Lott, author of 'More Guns, Less Crime,' one of life's enduring debates came up: Are liberals evil or just stupid? I was surprised to discover that Lott vigorously disputed those of us staking out the evil position."

Did she really say that? If so, how is she taken seriously by anyone with a brain?

I have no idea of who Timothy McVeigh is, or why he did not go to the New York Times building. Care to explain?

However, all the other quotes are moronic enough.

Timmy McVeigh was the terrorist who set a bomb off in the Oklohoma City Federal building. He was executed just a few years ago, if memory serves me. But, yes, that was an incredibly stupid thing for her to say. I more or less agree with most of the other statements though.

Default I'm not as smart as Doomgaze :(

Like I said before....she can't write, she just rants. As someone who fully expects to go into her field, I can't find any respect for her because of her lack of objectivity. I'm far from being considered a "real" writer, but even I can spout viscious libel and distorted "facts". Ann Coulter is simply the current conservative pin up girl, and here's hoping in time her awfulness will pass.

    Signature by rubah. I think.

It most likely will, when someone puts a lease on the Conservative ego.

    Take care all.
