Actually that isn't true...some hardcore FF fans who had some welding skills made a Masamune replica that weighed a measily 6 pounds...was about 78 inches in length including the handle which itself was about 18 inches. It was all one piece too so the handle/blade wouldn't be weak or wobbly. Still, it would be hard to carry around and use without cuttinig the guy next to you in two...but the fact is, it IS weildable...and so is the buster sword, btw.Originally Posted by Snowman
Just try to keep in mind that the steel would have to be very thin...because a 2 inch thick buster blade would obviously make the weapon unweildable...but the Sephiroth sword I described above had a 1/4" thick blade at most. Using the same thickness for the Buster would make it weildable...unfortunately other measures would have to be taken to insure the strength of the blade. Well, if the weapon(s) in question are made form pure carbon steel, then you could get away with a thin, lightweight, and surprisingly weildable weapon...though hard to carry ;P
