im afriad making it doesnt make it weildable....by which i not only mean you can swing it but fight with it. ive trined in broadsword for 22 years....i currently teach it and my farther makes real swords so i do understand.

a sword....especially a katana at that length would be unseuable for many reasons...mostly because teh whole purpose of a katana is to cut with the draw from teh scabbord or swing rather than the broadswords chop. certainly you wouldnt be able to fight with it unless you were battling on an open field with no allies.....but you wouldnt wound your enemy either since all your streatgh would be going into NOT allowing it to be knocked aside. even if teh sword is leight....your ability to fight with it wouldnt be and even with the proper technique for a two hander....you would have an almost impossible job. whats more theres no point as even the basicest trained person would be able to parry the first blow and before you could move teh thing he would step in and you would be dead. the blade flowing into teh handle is called the tang....without this ANY sword will simply break.

it doesnt matter how thin or thick the buster sword is....it's wiidth in simple breadth from edge to back would make it unsuable in a real fight. im not just trying to say your wrong....i teach people to really fight with real edged weapons and also all the skills and abilitys to control yourself so you dont go to hospital unlike many others.

ignoring the fact most people carnt fight with a two hander because of teh skill you need.....if a murasame was made as real katanas are it would be broken easily as they are only any use fighting other katanas
