Awesome points dude...

but I wasn't exactly picturing a real sword-to-sword fight...I'm thinking like you're with two people taking turns hitting a monster...negating the laws of real life swordplay.

But this makes me wonder...does Squares' weapons only fall into two catagories: realistic and magical? I always figured that those two were the basic factors behind the weapons...as in, swords, staves, etc. are realistic, whereas dice and dolls and whatnot would have to be magical. But with this argument of the Masamune, is there a "middle" catagory where some weapons are slightly realistic but are inevitably magical because of their inefficiency in real life?

I'll accept Seph's weapon as being finally and utterly unweildable, therefor magical based...but I HAVE seen a replica of the Buster, whilst being used correctly as well.

So what other weapons fall into that "iffy" catagory?

Gunblade - I think it can be done
Blitzball - Uhh *flashbacks to 3rd grade dodgeball* I can see how you could use a ball to inflict pain...but having it ricochet back to you is another thing
Pinwheel - And it's supposed to behave like a boomerang? Riiiight

Oh, and to actually contribute something OT, my favorite weapon is a staff that is dual-edged somehow. I love Baralai's from X-2, how it has the a ring at each end.
