Well, there are a few methods to try.
Drawing demi does work, if you have patience, but using just demi won't actually kill the boss, as it only continually halves the HP. You'll need to actually finish it off with an attack. I've found that generally, you have a successful draw 1 out of every 6 attempts, so it does take long.
Another method is to keep everyone on low HP and use the limitbreaks.
To be honest, it's more fun to experiment and see what works for you. Try a whole bunch of things, and you've eventually defeat him.

whats all of ur characters lvls? because that has a big effect on diablos the best time i find to beat him is as soon as u get a chance when u get it use quezitscol with squall draw demi after a few demis try scanning and seeing his hp if u get the chance then u know whether to keep at drawin demi or just blast him to pieces with limit brakes n gf's. also every now and then have someone heal (maybe common sense, but ive known people who just went for the kill and didnt notice hp :P lol) with someone else try limit brake with other or gf.. blow him easy

thx for the solution i defeatet him at last. i am lvl 18 with squall i think and just arrived at the garden at disc 2, am i low lvl?? my other chars are at lvl 13-15

Your main fighters (the boys for me) should be at least at Level 30!
As for the problem with Drawing, you need to Junction better to your Magic Attribute. Higher Magic=Higher Draw Success %

[/q]If the party's at a lower level, then Diablos will be too. However, Diablos can't raise his stats by Junctioning, so a low-level party has a huge advantage.
But yeah, boosting the Magic stat will improve the odds of drawing from Diablos; also, casting Blind on him (or using status-attack junctioning) will make him virtually incapable of landing any physical attacks.
Yeah, raising levels just makes the enemies harder. They drop different items at different levels though, but I didn't know this my first (and only) time playing so I don't know much about it.
The better your magic stat, the more chance you have of drawing Demi successfully from Diablos. I usually fight him as soon as I get the lamp but one time I forgot and didn't do it until Deling City. At that point, my characters were exactly how I wanted them to be and I drew about 3 Demis every draw attempt. I haven't tried Draw--Cast Demi on Diablos, I've always instinctively gone for Stock but I guess it would work both ways.

Just a thought, because I didn't try this recently and can't verify it: can you junction blind to stat atk and render diablos' attack useless? If you can do that it will be rediculously easy to beat him.
also add in the fact that the higher your luck the more demis you draw every time you draw and stock then cast demi on him he will cast curaga on that character (quite useful at times) or selphie using slot could kill him in one (the end) and no PG diablos is immune to blind so therefore that wont work however if you have some by that point junctioning some thundagas to elem atk will help also the best time to get him is actually before timber on disc 1 he is pathetically weak and Selphie can own his ass with siren and quezacotl junctioned
Diablo's is so pathetically easy if you do jsut one thing to him. cast BLIND on him. it may take a few tries but once he is blinded he will rarely be able to use his physical attacks on you, and since everything else he uses CANNOT kill you, you can beat him regardless of your level.

that is entirely untrue, i blind him evertime i fight him and it always works, it just takes a few tries.

use the shell magic that you hopefully drew from the grenaldo and the raldo fight in the training center, that cuts down on diablo's graveija (sp?) and his demi. although it reduces your cure's effectiveness, but i use shell nevertheless.. i use protect too until the blind spell finally works..
daiblos was one of those bosses that took awhile and then u beat him in 2 minutes and are like wow that was easy.
