I don't know if you watched the credits, but when they were drawing lines through the names of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad (bringing to mind Bea's list seen in Vol. 1), Elle's name had a question mark drawn over it instead. I guess she might come back for Vol. 3.

The subtitles for Pai Mei/Beatrix scene wasn't accurate. Not totally anyway.

I felt Budd was the best character in the movie. I really liked him.

The movie was awesome, as expected. The movie cleared up a lot of things Vol. 1 left open-ended, like why Beatrix was after The Deadly Vipers in the first place, even though I really wasn't expecting any explanation. So that was cool. I was a little disappointed that Beatrix didn't (SPOILER)kill Budd but it worked.

Well, (SPOILER)She had her right eye plucked by Pai Mei, then her other plucked by Beatrix, so she's pretty much blind. She may survive, but she'll have to be reallt lucky to get out of Budd's trailer without getting bitten by that Black Mamba.

The flim, when compared to Vol. 2, was the better half of the same movie. So when you make compare both volumes, you're comparing halves of the same flick. Best to remember that.

Gotta see that at least 2 more times before the end of end of it's theatre run.

quite funny when u look at the death count of volume 1 compared to volume 2, (i think) that in volume 2 she only kills one person... bob... i mean bill.

but yeah i agree kill bill franchise kicks arse, but i liked volume 1 better.
i heard you say your future, was looking so grey

Pai mei is the coolest charecter...His story intrigued me....The fight with Elle was soo good....so crazy.....i have never seen two women aim for each others crotch area as much as Elle and Beatrix did...The classroom bit was funny...and it was a great contrast.....volume one had a domminante jap feel while maintaining abit of a western feel and 2 had a domminant western feel with a chinese and jap twist....

Chapter 6 should have shown the deadly viper assasins beating her up and having abit of dialouge before she got her ass kicked....you only see it in animation in volume one...and you know how the whole screen goes orange and you see her enemy....that only happened once... Bill SHOULD have put up more of a fight.....i thought he was all about the oldschool stuff...not dissapointed though....

i love the music by the way....

i loved volume 2....got me thirsty for more movies....

I thought the first won was good, but the second one blew me away. It was still driven by violence, but I felt it had a bit more of a plot behind it, though the battles still rocked.

Pai Mei was freakin' awesome, I was upset when I found out that Elle had killed him.

At first I got the impression that Beatrix and Bill weren't going to fight at all. I wasn't disappointed with the ending though,I thought it was great that the one thing Pai Mei refused to teach Bill turned out to be his downfall.

I would have preferred this movie had it been connected to Volume One, as had been intended. I heard that Tarantino is planning that merge for a small, theatre release - before releasing "Kill Bill", composed of both volumes, coming out on DVD. I can't wait; this whole "this volume is better than the other one" is getting on my nerves, considering they are the same freakin' movie.

I loved Pai Mei, and I loved Elle Driver. We can't overrule that she is probably still alive - in the ending credits, rather than cross out her name like the others, a giant question mark appears to the rightside. As for the ending to Bill - that was genius. Somehow, I knew it would happen, and I think that was the intent. By using that skill against Bill to murder him, she showed that she was the superior fighter.

I need to go rent Pulp Fiction, now.

When you consider it though, each of the volumes is directed in such a different style. As some people have pointed out, Volume I is far more radical than Volume II. Volume I was much more violent, whereas Volume II was much more contemplative, the "why" moreso than the "what" and "how". I see them as separate, but connected, movies. I feel both movies would have to be radically altered in order for them to be one unit, and I feel (and I could see) Tarantino had to do a lot to separate them into two separate films, yet still keep the connection (common clips, cliffhanger ending in Vol. I, etc.).

I have to say I preferred Volume I over Volume II, but its hard to really compare and figure out why. I guess I just liked the feel of it - it was so different, and had this mystic aura around it. Everything, from the music to hiding Bill's face to the bleeps to the unanswered "Why the hell is all this happening?" question that so many movies fall into a trap trying to answer. Volume I just says "screw that question" - like a Kafka book I know of (Metamorphosis, by the way).

And the music kicked ass in both volumes, although I have Volume I's soundtrack and not Volume II, so I'm more familiar with Vol. I. Tarantino knows how to pick music - especially in Volume I, the music choices made the film feel completely out of its genre, in a good way - I remember the fight with O'Ren Ishii feeling like a boss fight from a Megaman game. It was awesome.

Um, in conclusion, the Kill Bill series freaking rocks. So, yeah. Speaking of which, when I saw Vol. II, I saw this preview for this Jet Li film that says "a film by Quentin Tarantino", but neither mentions him as producer or director. Anyone know what's up with that?

That's Hero. As far as I know, Tarantino had no part in its creation and is just producing its American release.

    It says "Quentin Tarantino presents."
He did that with a few other asian movies, too.

Grin EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTING! HA! HOOHAH!

I liked the first one better. The killing of Bill was anticlimatic and they should have been a demented happy family anyway. Vol 1 was beautiful. Vol 2 had me giggling at Elle "wait...that's not my eye, that's a snake...aw crap" and Pai Mei being made a voluntary oompa loompa.
