It's funny that SE is trying to weaken the dragoon. At Gamefaqs, nearly every rant is how the dragoon is so gimped in comparison to a Dark Knight sub Thief at post 60 levels. They make it sound like of the melee "damage dealer" classes, only the Dark Knight is viable.
Still, I can see what they're trying to do. The one perk of the Samurai is TP generation, and a dragoon subbing samurai would make Samurai obsolete as a main class, just as a Dark Knight subbing Thief made the Thief class obsolete by taking it's best skills (trick and sneak attack) and comboing them with the knights more powerful skills.
I suppose Square is just trying to make every class equally viable. That's probably a good thing.
