A friend and i were talking about this..
Rinoa..... becomes Ultimecia.......gives powers to Edea..... who gives powers to Rinoa..... becomes Ultimecia.......who gives powers to Edea........who gives powers to Rinoa......ect
Strange huh? the timeloop is actualy neverending and verry confusing

It's not a time loop, it's more time displacement. Ultimecia has a life, it begins, it goes, it ends. It's just that, chronologically, the end happens before the beginning. Sequentially, her life just happens. It's not like she's younger when she's in the past than she was in the future (and the past tense verb is correctly used there). And, loop in the wrong word here. A loop would imply that these things keep happening. All of these events only happen once. Again, it's just that the end happens before the beginning.
Ultimecia to Edea......Ultimecia controls Edea.....Edea to Rinoa....Ultimecia controls Rinoa......time compression....Ultimecia is defeated.....Rinoa in some way to Ultimecia
All of those things only happen once, just really out of order.

ok but if Ultimecia could send her mind with her power (I think its possible) where would she continue go after she was done experiancing the loop? What would she experiance after it? considering time is a neverending line what happens when you cut a part off and tape the ends together? You cant jump off the loop onto the line again, you have to follow the loop!

She doesnt experience the loop physically persai. She's like Sauraman (LOTR-TT) controlling people while he sits on his thrown, which she can do since she has JME. To put it easier she would respond with the loop as ellone does. They just sit there and meditate pretty much.
Has anyone ever noticed that theirs a naked lady centerpiece in the ballroom at Balamb Garden? You see it at the beginning and end (when rinoa is spinning around the spinning room). Is there some significance for it? Also arent those feathers black at the intro movie (Liberi Fatali)? At first when squall fights, the feathers look white, regardless to glare and shadow. But at the end of the clip, the feathers around Rinoa and Squall are black.

I wasn't talking about her power of time travel CK, i was talking about her general sorceress powers, maybe when she transfers her powers to eade when she dies she could have also transfered part of her mind. NOT THE TIME TRAVEL THING. Im trying to invent power, i mean shes is an incredably powerfull sorceress who says se cant send her mind with her powers?
I think its pretty obvious in the game that the transfer of powers between one sorceress and another is completely seperate from Ultimecia's ability to inhabit someone else's body with her mind. Actually, I can tell you for a FACT that its impossible for Ultimecia to transfer her mind with her powers because she is not powerful enough to transfer her mind at all. The only time she is able to transfer her mind to others is ARTIFICIALLY. With the aid of Dr. Odine's machine, JME, Ulty attempts to replicate Ellone's ability, and even that isn't powerful enough to work very well, which is why she's looking for the originial Ellone. So, since she needs the help of a machine to inhabit the minds of others, I'm going to go out on a limb and say she's not powerful enough to transfer her mind to anyone else at will.

no its ironic that in order to kill seed and rule the world but not erase herself from existence by killing rinoa and squall( parents ,grand parents ,greatgrandparents etc) was to cause time compression.
however she could only have gotten the powers to cause time compression via her initial manipulations of edea, who got her powers from ultimecias death via time compresion. i think ff8 really shows the iresitable nature of fate.

Just because some old guy goes on a power trip and thinks someone revived one of his old works and turned it into something great doesnt mean it happened. It was the old quacks theory, not fact.
He never takes out some super mirror that can see into the future and shows the gang Ultimecia using a better version of his machine in the future, he just ASSUMED she did, and assumption can be dangerous.
Lets say she DID find it, maybe she learned its powers, heck if Quistis can learn magic from an item why cant the mightiest sorceress? AND since she is the mightiest sorceress why couldnt she one up it and be able to transfer her mind?

It's not bad at all to speculate, but you have to speculate based on something. This whole idea of transfering a piece of her mind is from way out in left field with no backing. What if...what if...what if is all you're really doing here. Why would she transfer a piece of her mind? How would she know to transfer a piece of her mind? Remember, she is born and she then she takes over Edea. She has no idea that Edea has her powers. If she did then she knows that she must not succeed in doing what she is doing and she wouldn't do it. It just doesn't make sense that she would know to transfer a piece of her mind. It makes much more sense that she is using an Odine device.
