You may fight him with your whole party before you solo him. I haven't tried it out yet. I have been playing FFVII for a while and i just completed the game this way: singel character, no materia, first weapon and armor only. I like challanges. This way the final boss was the hardest fight i ever fought... yet. Solo Omega may be even harder. :rolleyes2
