Download spybot search and destroy and ad-aware.

You can probably find them on google, these programs should eliminate it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Just don't forget to turn the homepage back to what it was.

Yeah, have you tried changing the homepage back to what it was? A lot of times you'll get a javascript prompt to change your homepage and if you're not reading the prompts correctly you could click OK on accident and change your homepage. It's a simple and painless fix if that's all it is.

They're doing it out of courtesy so that you don't forget to download their porn.

If you ask me, it's a pretty good reminder.

No, there isn't any file you can search for to modify or delete. Spyware programs and the like name their files cryptic things and put them in places you wouldn't think of. That's why you download spy/adware killers and they them remove that stuff for you, as they know where all of the files are.

Also, if you know that you weren't the one on the computer and don't want to get busted by your parents, why don't you tell them what it was doing when you signed on? It's better to tell them before-hand, because if you wait until after they find out it looks like you're hiding something.

Yes, download both Spybot S&D and Adaware, run the updaters in both, then make them both scan your PC. Then fix the homepage afterwards and see if it still happens or not.

Well it sounds like your brother was surfing for porn and wants you to take the fall for what happened. If I was him I'd try to pin it on him to. Does this really surprise you?

Yeah, tell them to come to this thread, and we'll tell them politely that ad-ware is the "new thing" in the Internet today, and that every computer gets it. I think it's perfectly legal, too, so unfortunately there's nothing anyone can do about it. Download Adaware at www.lavasoft.com and Spybot at...dang, I can't remember. It's the only way to get rid of it.
