Default 404 - Back option not working

Does this go in here? Maybe Site Staff but I'm not sure *dumb*

Okies, I noticed when you get the Error page *the 404 Error page thing* on the Front Site, it says "Back" on it and it acts like it SHOULD take you back to the previous page but it doesn't work. the built in link is pointless xD

You just get something like 'Java previous history[1]' I'll write down the proper thing when I see it again *goes off*

EDIT: Ok it says at the bottom of the browser window:

    javascript:history.back(1)

    But nothing happens.

    >:/ I hate you.

I have no idea if Java is disabled. I'm networked to death and have no access to the settings, :/ I'll have to get the techie to look it up, since this computer is pass-word to death.

Not Java, javascript. Javascript is what that back link is using.

Okay, in IE go to "Tools" -> "Internet Options..."
    "Security" tab
    "Custom Level" button
Almost all the way at the bottom of the list there is a "Scripting" section, and under that go to the "Active Scripting" subsection.
If javascript is enabled then the "Enable" radio button should be selected.
