i have got a mega drive emulater i go to save state then i shut down my computer and when i turn it on it won't load does anyone know why

Generally, with savestates, you have to load them...I'm not familiar with the specific emulator you're referring to, but a savestate is usually just the system RAM (or rather, whatever amount of RAM the game system had set aside for game variables) dumped to a hex file on your hard drive. More often than not, you have around ten save state slots. In the case of ZSNES, you press F2 to save a state, F3 to choose a slot, and F4 to load it.

Anyway, you have to goto File > Load State
Then search for where you saved it as orginally...

i've done it now now i can play pantasy star 2 & 4 well it was saving but i had to make it show all the files my hard dive is full up of saves of pantasy star 2
