How the hell do u defeat Adel (no ryming intended, or bad spelling) I usuallydo haste, protect, shell and float at the beginning of the battle, float to evade her earthquake attack, and i use the GF's even thought it could hurt Rinoabut that usually works and then she uses Ultima and BANG! .... one dead Squall!
So.... any usfull hints rather than Matts (blue_midget192s) suggestion of "level up"
1) Have GF Cactuar Junctioned to someone w/ a lot of HP
2) Kamikaze
3) Laugh
if squall is dead it's wondeful for you. just cast life on him and go with rizu... or rezuk... , his limit break to defeat adel. but use life and not full life cause full life give all hp so u don't have the limit break.
If you think you have it, you don't have it. if you think don't have it ... you still don't have it.
Draw->Cast Regen from Rinoa, onto Rinoa. Get one character to do all the healing (of Rinoa and the party) while Squall just keeps attacking Adel. If you have Zell, you can use Armageddon Fist*

*Armageddon Fist : Booya and Punch Rush over and over again really quickly. You should be able to get 4+ attacks every second. I get about 6.
