    Grin filter:alpha(opacity=50)

It's probably (obviously) a ccs code, because Firefox is not registering the nice visual opacity. Specifically, I am using it on the contents of a table (my journal), so that when people of various screen resolutions come and visit, they won't get a big journal square covering the background image. The effect is nice in IE, but firefox doesn't register it.

Is there a mozilla version of opacity I don't know about, or is it just not possible at all?

I think theres another bit to it to make it work in all browsers and for the life of my I can't remember what it is...

Try downloading AceHTML Freeware, it has a CSS builder built into it.

I searched filter:alpha and looked a bit, but I suppose I was searching with my brain turned off. Many thanks to Dr Unne!
