I'm sure this topic has come up before, but what does it translate to, if anything?

If the old topic is still around, I'll dig it up. Basically, it doesnt translate directly into anything. But when read... I think it was if you line up the lyrics and read from top to bottom as opposed to right to left, it translates into something. *goes to look*

The Hymn of the Fayth Lyrics are just individual Japanese symbols in no particular order.

NO BO ME NO
RE N MI RI
YO JYU YO GO
HA SA TE KA NA E
KU TA MA E

However, if aligned properly and read from top to bottom, the traditional reading style of Japanese text, then this reads the sentence:

Inoreyo, Hatenaku Ebonju.
Sekae tamae,
Yume miyo, Inorigo

...which translates to:

Pray now, for Yu Yevon,
who will not go away.
For the sake of prosperity,
Dream now, the Fayths of Yevon.

D got it from 'someone wiser than him' that wasnt me, so it's a mystery
