Wow, the Cave of No Return. That's from the first episode. I wonder how many people will pick up on that.

I did, but the way Fighter talks about it, I think anybody who has been reading from the beginning would recall it.

Man that was a good joke. I bet we are gonna hear fighter nagging about returning to the cave of no return in 2-3 episodes.

Brian Clevinger has won the Best Fantasy Comic award in The 2002 Cartoonist's Choice Awards for 8-Bit Theater. I'd say it's well-deserved.

    It sure is...

I LOVED that joke. Almost nobody refers that far back in comics. Heck, professional comic people don't even have anything that lasts more than a week, unless they introduce a new character. That was great...

So what'll happen when they have to return the crystal to the witch?
If history is to be changed, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If it is my fate to be destroyed... I must simply laugh.

I love how he slips in those Simpsons references that the nerdiest among us (me) find hilarious.

Oddly enough, Matoya seems to be able to see Black Mage, Thief, and Red Mage.

    Nice-lookin' sprite, tho'.

Did he make that sprite all on his own or is it the WSC version or something?

WSC graphics are much more advanced than that. It was probably made from the white magic merchant by Kevin, the same guy who made Garland's sprite.

OOC:Just out of curiosity, did Dr Unne become a Cid's Knight while I wasn't paying attention? Or has he been that way?

An interesting use of that poem, I'd say...
