Hey I live in the UK (anyone else!) and i have been checking out FFXI for a while and it officially ROCKSbut does anyone know the UK release date or if an import would work on my PAL PS2!!
Cheers and btw if anyone thinks im a UK loner and should just shut up feel free but any help or advice would be mucho appreciated.
PS. I mean the PS2 Release CHEERS!
According to Official UK PS2 Magazine the release date on the PS2 is Aug/Sep. It'll probably change but it's around there.

I couldn't wait, so I just ordered imported FFXI for PC, and hopefully it'll arrive before end of the week. Can't wait to play it.

Aeris i highly reccommend getting broadband. It'll make your ping really good and it'll help for other things other than FF (downloading files, viewing websites). Standard 56k can usually go about 5kbs. Broadband (512k) can go at about 100kbs. For double the 56k price (around £30-£35 depending on which ISP) you get 20 times quicker.
Don't get Tiscali (It may be really cheap but it is only 110kps)
Get Freeserve (Even though I'm with AOL, freeserve rules, and it's cheaper.) The flatrate is about £25-30
