Auto protect may have been a better choise than hp+30% but it's too late to change that. But that doesn't relly matter that much i think.
actually auto protect is quite useful cause it cuts obliteration to 10000 and imolation to 15000(with max defense too naturally lol) but your right, over all it makes little difference. imho penenance was never hard because of powerful attacks, but his battle tactics.

I just defeated him! 9th try, nice explosion, 48 dark matter. I keep an save before him if i want to battle him again.

Yea, the arms are the only problem and Mega gravion was what relly could kill you. You need to keep killing the arms before they strike. It took me about 1 hour and 15min i think. My overall super boss difficulty rating is 8/10. Compared to other super bosses: Omega weapon: 2, Emerald weapon: 3, Dark magus sissters: 6, Ozma: 6.Originally Posted by aeris2001x2

Penance is one of the hardest bosses i have yet fougth.
But i have yet to face something i could give 9 or 10.
lol i agree, cause he may be the hardest but u can comfortablly win with the right tactics. i guess its up to ff12 to surpass penance

Who is Penece? What are the Dark Aeons? What game are you playing? I don't remember any of that in FFX. Well, Dark Aeons were at the very end of the game, but no Penece.
