how do i get my friend on the same server as me?
hey all, I got my friend addicted to this game so he went out and bought it. the only problem is i don't know how he'll bealbe to get on the same server as I. When i created my character i just chose random. Anyway is there any way to find out what server i am on so my friend can enter that name when he makes his char?
You have to buy a World Pass for him, they can be gotten usually somewhere in the cities..i just know Windurst and Bastok's, Bastok is in port and one of the tents sell them, and Windurst is in the Great Star Tree. The price of the WP is determined by population of server, with more ppl=more gil. Up to 5 uses and one week experiation date.
How to enter? Make new Char, when you put name, then server, press enter(or was it right?) and enter the name of the server EXACTLY like it is, and then enter the pass.
I was told that the San d'Oria WP-selling NPC was located in the Chateau d'Orangille (or whatever it's called), but I puttered around the Chateau for almost an hour without finding the bastard.
That's because the NPC that sells worldpasses in Sandoria is located right outside the Residential area of Port Sandoria. ;)

O yea, if your pass didnt expire yet, you can check it up anytime by talking to the NPCs that sell it to you.
